Orchard Park
Orchard Park is a development consisting of 14 residential buildings, each containing four to seven townhouse units. The proposed development is inspired by a contemporary interpretation of rural and agricultural architectural forms such as farm houses and barns. This approach reflects the historical context of the area, and provides a character that is individual, yet complimentary to existing development in the Grandview Heights area. Through the use of articulated bays, expressed gables, strong and simple detailing, unique end units and a material pallet that reflects the natural, and durable materials used within the vernacular of the area, the buildings provide a cadence to the development that creates a sense of individuality to each unit, while maintaining the higher density that Surrey is seeking through townhouse developments.
