Shaiyoo Yang

Architect AIBC

Originally from Beijing, China. Shaiyoo has lived in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. She moved to Vancouver in 2015 to pursue her master’s degree in architecture at UBC, and called it home ever since, Before joining TKA+D, she gained diverse experience in residential, urban planning and institutional projects. Most recently, she worked on a three-storey mass timber elementary school. She became a registered architect in 2022, Shaiyoo is passionate about continue her lifelong learning journey as an architect. Known for her design focus, self-direction and attention to detail, she is an asset to any team. She believes that thoughtful design can create positive impacts to the community and is committed to create meaningful spaces for people. Outside work, she enjoys exploring restaurants and cafes.
