TKA+D tours StructureCraft New Facility

To support our ongoing pursuit of innovative design solutions, TKA+D team members recently ventured to Abbotsford, BC to tour StructureCraft’s headquarters, a 50,000-sf office and shop facility.

The tour began with an overview of services that a company like StructureCraft can provide; from EOR services through to fabrication engineering, material procurement, logistics planning and erection. This was followed by a presentation on the company’s dynamic mass timber portfolio, including industrial, commercial, and residential projects.

The facility tour provided the opportunity to learn more about the process of making Dowel Laminated Timber (DLT) panels. The building itself is a testament to StructureCraft’s process and engineering capabilities. The office areas are constructed of heavy timber floors, walls, and roof panels, while the manufacturing areas are built with prefabricated LVL and plywood wall panels.
